IKEA is withdrawing from the market the IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press, black. 

IKEA requests all customers who own an IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press, black, to stop using it and contact IKEA. The affected product has the article number 201.521.58.

Why is this product unsafe to use?
Due to a production error identified after an internal investigation, there is a risk that small pieces of metal may become detached during use and could be ingested together with food. For this reason, IKEA is recalling the IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press, black, with a date stamp from 2411 (AASS) to 2522 (AASS). The affected products can be identified by an IKEA logo mark on the top handle of the product, which looks like the one shown below:

If customers still cannot identify it, they can return any IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press, black, for a refund.
 

What should customers do?
Customers who own an affected garlic press should immediately stop using it and contact IKEA for a full refund. In addition, IKEA encourages customers to share information about this recall, especially if they know that the recalled product was offered, loaned or sold to someone else.

What remedy can customers expect?
Affected products can be returned to any IKEA shop for a full refund. Proof of purchase (i.e. a receipt) is not required.

IKEA is withdrawing from the market some lighting chains and LED outdoor lamps with a plug that does not meet the regulations of the LEDLJUS, SOMMARLÅNKE, STRÅLA and SVARTRÅ product families. 

IKEA requests all clients that have the affected lighting chains and LED outdoor lamps of the LEDLJUS, SOMMARLÅNKE, STRÅLA and SVARTRÅ product families to stop using them immediately and that they contact IKEA to obtain a replacement product or a complete refund. It does not require purchase proof (invoice).
Due to a mistake in the manufacturing, the plug of these products does not meet the appropriate safety regulations, therefore, there is risk of electrostatic discharge. The affected products can be identified through the name of the LED controller, the stamp with the LED controller date and the name of the plug (all details hereafter).

IKEA is recalling from the market some VARMFRONT portable chargers due to fire hazard.

IKEA requests all clients that have a portable charger VARMFRONT of 10400 mAh (model number E2038) with the date stamps (Year/Week) 2313, 2316, 2318 or 2319 or a portable charger VARMFRONT of 5200 mAh (model number E2037) with the date stamps (Year/Week) 2318, 2319 or 2322, to cease using them immediately and that contact IKEA to change the product or get a full refund. 

Some VARMFRONT portable chargers can present fire hazard due to a manufacturing error.  This error only affects to the units with the mentioned date stamps. 
Therefore, this VARMFRONT portable chargers are being discontinued from the market. 

The VARMFRONT portable chargers with the affected date stamps can be returned in any IKEA store to obtain a replacement or a full refund. Purchase receipt is not required (invoice).

IKEA is recalling the ÅSKSTORM 40W USB charger due to the risk of thermal burns and electric shock.

IKEA asks all customers who have a ÅSKSTORM 40W dark grey USB charger, with the item number 50461193, to stop using it and return the product to any IKEA store for a full refund. 

Safety is our number one priority and therefore we are recalling the ÅSKSTORM 40W dark grey USB charger. The power cord may be damaged or broken if it is wrapped around a charger or bent back and forth after a long period of use. Damaged cable may cause thermal burns and electric shock. Therefore, the ÅSKSTORM 40W dark gray USB charger is being recalled.

The ÅSKSTORM USB charger 40W, dark gray can be identified by the model number ICPSW5-40-1 found on the label on the back of the USB charger.










The ÅSKSTORM 40W dark gray USB charger can be returned to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required.

IKEA announces an extension of the recall of certain LETTAN mirrors for repair due to damaged wall fixings.

IKEA requests all customers who have an affected LETTAN mirror to stop using it and to demand wall fixings to replace them for free. 

IKEA develops their products using a rigurous evaluation and risk test program, to make sure that the products meet all the appliable laws and rules of the markets they are sold. Nevertheless, we have noticed that some of the fittings that support the LETTAN mirrors to the wall have been breaking. This has resulted in the unexpected fall of some mirrors.

On January 2023, IKEA recalled some LETTAN mirrors for itheir repair due to the braking of the wall fittings. After deeper investigations, as well as additional audits to our suppliers, we have discovered that the defective wall fittings were used in the production for a larger period than IKEA knew previously. Since the security of our clients is our maximum priority, IKEA has decided to extend the recall as a precaution measure.

The LETTAN mirrors affected by the recall for repair now include:
 

• All LETTAN mirrors with date stamp previous to 2105 and inclusive (Year/Week). The mirrors LETTAN with supplier number 21944, with date stamp previous to the 2325 and inclusive (year/week).

• The date stamp and the supplier number are at a tag on the back side of the LETTAN mirror. This is an example of the tag, with the location of the supplier number (21944) and the date stamp (2152 = Year/Week) highlighted in red.

You can visit your IKEA Shop or IKEA Point to demand the required quantity of replacement wall fixings with item number 139298/1.

Almondy recalls from the market a limited amount of the chocolate cake with almonds DAIM 400g by Almondy, when finding a metallic object in one of their cakes. The recall is a precaution measure.

The recall refers to the chocolate cake with almonds DAIM 400g by Almondy, bought at IKEA stores, with the lot numbers L2140, Expiration Date: 18.11.2023. 

Almondy asks the consumers that might have bought the product to return it to the store they bought it to obtain a full refund, or contact with Almondy at www.almondy.com.

At Almondy the quality and security of our products is our number one priority. We are treating this incident very seriously and, as a precaution, we are recalling from the market the products acquired at IKEA stores with the lot number indicated above. IKEA urges all customers who owns ODGER swivel chair in the anthracite color with date stamps before and including 2221 to stop using it and to contact IKEA for a full refund. 

Customer safety is always the starting point for IKEA. Therefore, IKEA is recalling ODGER swivel chair in the anthracite color with date stamps before and including 2221 (22 stands for the year, and 21 stands for the week the product was produced) as there is a risk that the star base leg of the chairs may break and pose fall and injury hazards for the user.

IKEA is urging all customers who own an ODGER swivel chair in the anthracite color with date stamps before and including 2221 to immediately stop using it and return it to any IKEA store for a full refund.
