Knuckle with ISKUB cola sauce

Ingredients
  • 1 knuckle
  • ALLEMANSRÄTTEN smashed potatoes
  • 2 spring onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 125 gr. of ketchup
  • 20 gr. of white vinegar
  • 30 gr. of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin and oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of cornstarch
  • 300 ml. of cola flavored ISKUB
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
Elaboration of the sauce
  1. With the hot oil, cook in a pot the onion, garlic and the salt until the onion is nearly transparent.
  2. Add the cumin, oregano, ketchup, mustard, vinegar and sugar.
  3. Pour the cola flavored ISKUB and let the sauce cook at low heat for 10 or 15 minutes.
  4. In a cold water glass add the cornstarch and stir it well. Pour the sauce until you obtain the right density.
Elaboration of the smahed potatoes
  1. Pour the content of the pack, without defrosting it, in a pot and cook it for 9 minutes.
  2. Add water or milk until obtaining the smashed potatoes consistency you like most.
Elaboration of the knuckle
  1. Cook the knuckle with it juice in the oven to 220º for 10 or 15 minutes.
Plaiting
  1. Put the knuckle on a plate and accompany it with the smashed potatoes.
  2. Finish the dish adding to the knuckle a little bit of sauce.
