The entity SARTON CANARIAS, S.A. (hereafter, IKEA) launches the present contest named “The 3rd IKEA Christmas postcard drawing contest” that is organised and developed in accordance with the following terms and conditions:
1. PURPOSE OF THE CONTEST:
The present contest has the purpose of fostering children’s creativity and invite participants to express, through drawing, their unique vision of Christmas.
The winning proposals will be selected among all the submitted drawings, that will be used to create the IKEA 2026 Christmas postcard collection, with which IKEA can wish a Merry Christmas and share good wishes during these holidays.
In addition, authors of the selected drawings will receive the prizes established in these terms and conditions.
2. GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE
The contest will be developed in the geographical scope of Canary and Balearic Islands.

6. PARTICIPATION:
All minors that, on the date of participation, are 12 years old or less, with a previous authorisation by their mother, father or legal guardian, can participate in the contest. Every minor can participate with a single drawing throughout the entire validity period of the contest.
To participate, IKEA will put at the participants disposal a specific template where they must draw their Christmas postcard proposal. Templates will be available at the participant’s IKEA stores and points, in the designated areas for the contest.
Participants can make their drawing during their visit at Småland play area o take the template to fill it and deliver it later. To complete their participation, the drawing must be deposited, within the established period, in the mailboxes provided for this purpose.
With the purpose of protecting specially the privacy of minor participants, the drawing must not contain surnames, nor any other personal data that allows to directly identify or locate the minor.
To identify every proposal, it will only be necessary to indicate their first name and age.
the data required to manage participation is collected on the participation template’s background. This sheet will contain the minor’s name or alias and age, the name, surnames and telephone of their mother, father or legal guardian.
Participation will require the previous authorisation of the mother, father or legal guardian through the signing of the corresponding participation sheet.
Participations that do not include the required information, that lack the corresponding authorisation or do not comply with the terms and conditions established requirements, will not be accepted.
Submitted creations must be original and unpublished. Submitting more than one design during the contest validity period will under no circumstances imply a higher probability of winning a prize. IKEA and the organising team reserve the right to request at any time the mother, father or legal guardian identity accreditation. Said legal guardians declare under their responsibility that the minor meets the established requirements and is in a position to participate in the contest.
The creation’s delivery entails the express acknowledgment as well that IKEA shall not be held liable against third-party claims arising from plagiarism, copying, or any other infringement of intellectual or industrial property rights, whereby the mother, father, or legal guardian undertakes to hold IKEA harmless against any loss or damage that may arise from such grounds. Additionally, participation in the contest implies the transfer to IKEA of the image rights and exploitation rights of the submitted creations, which may be used for commercial, advertising, or promotional purposes across various media.
The children and direct relatives of IKEA workers are expressly excluded from participating in this contest, as well as those people that have intervened directly or indirectly in the contest’ organisation and their first-degree relatives by blood or marriage. Participating in the contest implies full and unreserved acceptance of these legal terms and conditions.
7. DRAWING TECHNIQUE AND EXECUTION
Those participants that comply with the requirements established on section 9 of these conditions can submit their proposals. The technique used for the drawing is entirely up to the participant; for example, crayons, coloured pencils, markers, watercolours, gouache, or other similar materials may be used.
8. CONTEST RESOLUTION
Once the participation period has ended, a jury formed by members of the IKEA personnel, from different areas, will evaluate the proposals that comply with the requirements established in these terms and conditions.
To select the winning drawings, the jury will perform a joint assessment following, among others, the following criteria: adequacy to the Christmas theme, creativity, expressiveness, ability to transmit values and emotions linked to Christmas holidays and suitability of the drawing to be part of the IKEA 2026 Christmas postcard collection.
For every participant market one winning drawing and another substitute drawing will be selected. The participant selected as substitute will only acquire the status of winner in the event of the resignation of the initially selected winner, non-compliance with any of the requirements established in these conditions, or the inability to contact their mother, father, or legal guardian under the terms provided.
Four winning drawings will be selected in total, that will be part of the IKEA 2026 Christmas postcard collection. Postcards will be at client’s disposal during the month of December 2026 and can be distributed at the IKEA Balearic and Canary Islands stores and points, in accordance with the authorisation and use terms of the present conditions.
The contest resolution will be performed on November 6th, 2026.
Between the days 19th and 11th of November 2026, IKEA will contact via telephone the mother, father or legal guardian of the minors, authors of the winning drawings, using for that purpose the contact data provided to participate, with the purpose of communicating the contest resolution and coordinate the prize’s delivery.
In case it is not possible to contact the winner’s legal guardian within the established deadline, if they renounce to the prize or do not comply with the requirements requested in these conditions, IKEA will contact the legal guardian of the substitute winner. If it is also not possible to deliver the prize to the substitute, the corresponding prize may be declared void.
9. PRIZE:
The winner will receive a pack of children IKEA products valued in 100 euros, an acknowledgement diploma and a purchase voucher of 50 euros, exchangeable for furniture and decoration items at stores, points, IKEA Balearic and Canary Islands web and IKEA Inspire app.
In the case that the participant’s mother, father or legal guardian is member of the IKEA Family club or owners of a Ventajon card, the purchase voucher value will be increased by an additional 30 euros.
Additionally, a diploma will be delivered, a printed copy of the Christmas postcards and recognition will be given to the work through its publication in a specific space in the next IKEA Family magazine edition.
The prize is nominative and will not be transferable to third parties. It cannot be exchanged for cash either. If due to any circumstance the winner cannot or does not want to accept the prize, or renounced to it, IKEA will proceed to assign the next substitute winner in accordance with what it is stated in the present conditions. The same will happen if the prize acceptance communication is not received in the deadline indicated on the present conditions. The prize can be declared void if the winner and/or the substitute winner do not accept or renounce to the prize, or if the prize acceptance letter is not received, according to what it is stated in these conditions.
The purchase voucher is non-transferable and must be used by the winners in its totality at the IKEA Balearic or Canary Islands stores and points and/or web www.islas.IKEA.es.
The purchase voucher amount cannot be used to compensate outstanding balance for purchases financed with credit cards, to pay for delivery or assembly services nor it will be exchanged for another one or its value in cash.
The organisation is not liable for any loss of subtraction of the purchase voucher and the client exempts the Organisers from any responsibility resulting from their acceptance and use of the Purchase voucher or participating in the Promotion.
Using a purchase voucher never generates a new purchase voucher.
IKEA can request, at the time of delivery, the identity accreditation and legal representation.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND AUTHORISATION TO USE THE DRAWINGS
The minor participant’s mother, father or legal guardian declare that the submitted drawings is original and unpublished and that its presentation and use under the terms provided in these conditions do not infringe upon intellectual property, industrial property, image rights, or any other rights of third parties.
Through the contest participation, the mother, father or legal guardian authorises IKEA, free of charge, to reproduce and use the submitted drawing exclusively for management, development, communication and promotion purposes of the present contest.
If the drawing wins, said authorisation will also include the required rights for its reproduction, edition, graphic adaptation, distribution and public communication, including its availability, for the purpose of creating, producing, distributing, and promoting the IKEA 2026 Christmas postcard collection, as well as communicating and spreading the contest and its results.
This authorisation will allow IKEA to use the winning drawings, among others, on different mediums and channels:

printed postcards and other materials linked to this action;

stores, points and other IKEA spaces;

websites and apps managed by IKEA;

IKEA profiles on social media;

newsletters and other relevant communications related to the contest;

internal communication materials;

press release, public relations and communication media;

audio-visual, graphic and digital materials destined to communicate the contest, its results or the postcard collection
The authorisation is granted for the territorial scope of Spain and for its spreading through digital media available from other territories, for a period of 3 years following the completion of the contest.
IKEA can perform the strictly necessary technique and graphic adaptations on the winning drawings to adequate them to different formats and communication mediums – including size, proportions, layout or resolution adjustments or incorporation into graphic compositions –, ensuring in all cases that the composition and fundamental characteristics of the original work are respected.
The authorisation is granted for free, without prejudice to the prize corresponding to the winners in accordance with these conditions.
Participating in the contest does not imply the cession to IKEA of the original work, but only the authorisation of the exploitation rights necessary for the uses and during the period expressly provided for in these terms and conditions.
11. USE OF NAME AND IMAGE OF THE WINNERS
Participating in this giveaway does not imply the authorisation to use or publish pictures, videos, or images of the minor.
If SARTON CANARIAS, S.A. wishes to take a picture or record the winning minor or use later their image for communication or promotional dissemination purposes of the promotion, will request previously a specific, express and voluntary authorisation to the mother, father or legal guardian.
Said authorisation or dissemination of the drawing must be also performed voiding the incorporation of data that allows for the direct identification of the minor, except if the corresponding authorisation, where applicable, is obtained.
In general terms, IKEA will not publish the name and surnames of the participant minors or winners. When it is necessary to communicate publicly the giveaway result, only the first name or alias used by the minors for the contest will be revealed, as well as their age when it is necessary, avoiding any additional information that allows to directly identify them.
12. ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRESENT CONDITIONS
Participating in this contest implies the acceptance of each one of the terms and conditions stated in these conditions.

13. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
In accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and guarantee of digital rights, the personal data provided for the purpose of participating in this contest will be processed in accordance with what it is stated in this section:
The data controller for personal data processing will be SARTON CANARIAS, S.A., with CRN A-35474832 and social domicile at Autopista Las Palmas – Gango, km 12, 35219 Telde (Las Palmas). For any query regarding data protection, you can contact Data Protection Officer through dpd@ikeasi.com.
With the purpose of protecting specially the privacy of minor participants, only the data strictly necessary to manage the contest will be requested.
From the minor we can gather their first name or alias/nick, age and code assigned to their participation. From the mother, father or legal guardian we can gather their name and surnames, telephone and corresponding authorization for the minor’s participation.
In general, no ID copy or from any other identification document will be requested. We can only request the documentation that is strictly necessary to validate identities or representation for the delivery of the prize or to resolve any specific issue related to the contest.
Data gathered for the participation will not be used to send ads nor commercial communications.
The processing of the data strictly necessary for the contest’ management will be performed with the purpose of managing the requested participation and apply these conditions. Since participants are children under 14 years old, their participation will require, where applicable, the intervention and authorization of the person exercising parental responsibility or legal guardian.
Any additional processing that, where applicable, requires consent – like using pictures or videos of the minor for dissemination purposes – will be subjected to a specific, independent, and voluntary authorization of the mother, father or legal guardian.
Personal data will be preserved only during the time necessary to organize and resolve the contest, to select winning and substitute participation, manage the prizes delivery and handle possible issues or claims.
Once the contest has been completed, unnecessary data will be eliminated. When it is necessary to retain certain information to handle possible legal obligations, it will be duly blocked during the legally required periods and will subsequently be deleted. In no case will the data be retained for future promotions or commercial purposes.
Personal data will not be communicated to third parties, except when there are legal obligations. However, those which provide services to SARTON CANARIAS, S.A. can access the information when said access is necessary for the contest development. In these cases, they will act as data processors and will be subject to the corresponding contractual obligations of confidentiality and data protection.
No international data transfers are foreseen in connection with the management of this contest.
The mother, father or legal guardian can exercise, in representation of the minor where applicable, their rights of access, rectification, suppression, opposition, process limitation and portability provided forth in the applicable regulations. Requests can be addressed to the Data Protection Officer through dpd@ikeasi.com or to SARTON CANARIAS, S.A. social domicile previously indicated.
Additionally, a claim can be presented before the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

15. APPLICABLE LAW
This promotion is ruled by the current Spanish legislation and by the present conditions. For any controversies that may arise from the interpretation and execution of these Conditions, parties submit to the courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in accordance with applicable law.
16. MODIFICATION AND/OR ANNEXES
SARTON CANARIAS S.A. reserves the right to modify or add successive annexes about its mechanism and prizes, as long as they are justified or do not damage the participants, and they are communicated rightly.
In case any case of extreme gravity should obtain SARTON CANARIAS SA. can cancel the contest, announcing it as well to the consumers.
17. RIGHT TO ELIMINATE FRAUDULENT PARTICIPATIONS:
SARTON CANARIAS reserves the right to eliminate with justification any user that commits fraud, alters or disables the right functioning and normal and regulatory course of the present contest.
18. ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRESENT TERMS:
The very participation in the promotion, means the acceptance of the present terms and conditions. In case of existing doubts or discrepancies in the interpretation of said terms, they will be remitted to common law.
