HEJNE storage system+BEHANDLA
Garage, pantry, basement, hobby room, loft and attic - HEJNE storage system fits in many places. You can build HEJNE in two different depths, 12¼" and 19⅝", and make it as wide as you need by just adding on sections to fit your available space. Do you want to put the combination on a damp floor in the garage or basement? Then, it’s a good idea to put end protectors on the bottom of the posts to prevent the wood from absorbing moisture from the floor.
To store smaller things you can choose the practical OBSERVATÖR clip-on basket which you can hang directly on HEJNE shelf. It’s easy to move and perfect for all the small things you want to find quickly and easily. And if you have bottles to store you can add OBSERVATÖR bottle rack on top of the shelf.
HEJNE is made of sturdy solid wood, so it’s ready from the start to stand up to a lot. If you want to make the untreated surface even more durable and personalize it, you can apply BEHANDLA wood treatment oil or glazing paint in your favorite color.
Sturdy storage from solid wood
The solid wood used to make HEJNE shelves comes from responsibly managed forests and is defined as certified or recycled. Along with responsibly sourced wood, the same elements that make HEJNE shelves more sustainable, also make them more affordable. The simple formula is to use as much of the tree as possible and cut down on transportation costs by doing all the production right by the forests where the lumber is sourced.
What is solid wood?
Solid wood is one of our favorite materials and is part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is also a timeless material with many uses. Regardless of the wood species, it is durable, beautiful, renewable and recyclable. We strive to use this raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste – and we also invest in facilities and logistics so that we can increase the use of recycled wood. This way, every tree is put to good use that little extra.
