Crafted from cool blues

Add a crafty touch with a patchwork apron made from over run production denim by persons with disabilities in Vietnam. Designers Maria Vinka and Paulin Machado set out to to create items with distinctive details.

Embrace tactile eye catchers

Accessories made from natural materials like banana fibre and jute bring a rustic charm.

“This collection is all about detailing, making things look different and crafty.”

Every piece creates jobs

The expressive MÄVINN products provide jobs where jobs are few. This collection was co-created with our seven social business partners across Asia, who empower people from vulnerable groups through employment.

Details that make a difference

The collection is made extra special with hand-embroidered details. This warm-hued cushion cover is finished with a hand-stitched trim by women in rural villages in India where job opportunities are rare.

Handwoven wonders

Bring some warmth and texture to your home with natural materials such as banana fibre and jute. These lamp shades and hanging storage baskets, handwoven from durable banana fibre, make a cosy statement.

Cocreating change with social businesses

Since 2012, IKEA has collaborated with social business partners that provide employment and education opportunities for people from rural areas and marginalised groups.
