The best way to prevent the tipping over of furniture is to securely attach them to the wall. IKEA asks its customers to examine their chests of drawers and dressers to check if they are well secured to the wall with the restraint provided with the product in the package.
How to avoid tip over accidents
- Secure it! Furniture must be securely fastened to the wall. Use the tip over restraints provided with the product and the right hardware for your walls. Consult the included guide to choose the right hardware.
- Never place a TV or other heavy objects on top of any furniture not intended to be used with a TV.
- Place the heavy objects in the lowest drawers.
- Never let children climb or hang on drawers, doors or shelves.
