After more than six years living at the Insular Hospital of Gran Canaria, Miguel Planas starts a new period of his life in a house adapted both for his physical needs and his emotional wellbeing. IKEA Spanish and Caribbean Islands Acciones de Corazón has carried out the furnishing, decoration, and complete preparation of the rooms with the purpose of transforming it into a true home.
Last Friday 29th of May, family, friends and volunteers welcomed Miguel into his home with a surprise full of emotion, balloons and enthusiasm, a moment particularly meaningful after years of resilience and personal growth.
This initiative is part of the commitment of IKEA Spanish and Caribbean Islands Acciones de Corazón with the community, encouraging project that improve daily life of the many people.
