We celebrate our 45th anniversary in Gran Canaria with the inauguration of an iconic MAMMUT chair in XXL format
In IKEA Gran Canaria we commemorate our 45th annivesary with a creative proposal that honours one of our most emblematic pieces: the MAMMUT chair. To celebrate this milestone, we inaugurate at the C.C.O 7 Palmas an exposition starring by an XXL replica of this iconic design.
Under the concept of "The small chair with big dreams", the piece grows symbolically to celebrate a story shared for decades. Since 1993, the MAMMUT chair has been part of first games, learning and memories of thousands of homes, becoming a reference in accessible and functional design.
This project has been developed in collaboration with the alumni of the School of Art and Design of Gran Canaria, placing value in local talent and their ability to reinterpret icons of contemporary design. With this initiative we are also looking to the future, connecting creativity, education and culture.
The exposition includes, apart from the XXL piece, other elements that display the creative process and the project's development, offering a complete experience on design.
With this action, we reaffirm our commitment with Gran Canaria, our first home in Spain, celebrating 45 years of shared history based on closeness, inspiration and improving life at home.
