for your business

Decorating a food studio has its challenges – so much happens in one space! Guests chatting, hands-on workshops and plenty of prep, both before and during the event. Here’s some food for thought to get you started: keep things open, light, and easy.

Movable desks and stackable chairs will transform the space within minutes, no matter what type of event you’re hosting. Smart storage helps keep essentials close by. Use a trolley to store bowls and herbs, and display pots and pans on open shelves to give your guests a taste of what’s to come. Like a great meal, this space is made to be shared.

A space to focus, away from the heat

Before we get into event furniture, let’s take a moment to consider the need for a separate office. Because there are times when you need to distance yourself in order to focus. There are workshops to plan, socials to manage and you’ve got admin to sort out. And let’s be honest, it’s not always easy to do that with people in the background working with food.

A dedicated and quiet workspace will help you get more done. Install a couple of TROTTEN desks, perfect for any space no matter its size, and add ergonomic HATTEFJÄLL chairs with automatic tilt tension. The backrest adjusts to your body weight, so you get the right support without fiddling with levers or buttons. Whether you sort out the details for your next event or just catch up on emails, you’ll stay comfortable and concentrated.

The best workspace is a space that works for you

Choose event furniture that’s flexible and you’ll always have the space you need. The more types of workshops you can host, the better. Our foldable MITTZON tables on castors are sturdy workhorses: practical, adaptable and easy to clean. Move them around to create a layout that works for today’s, tomorrow’s or even next month’s schedule. Set them up in a U-shape or go for a traditional classroom style, then group them together when it’s time for dinner.

Pair them with LÄKTARE conference chairs, perfect for a studio setup like this. When it’s time to clean up, simply hang the chairs on the tables – the rubber armrests keep them steady. Or stack up to seven chairs to save space. They’re incredibly lightweight and easy to move around. The tablet holders are perfect for small screens that display instructions. And don’t forget to remind the class that they can hang their bags on the hook below the table when they arrive.

Make room for the mis-en-place

Cooking isn’t all about go, go, go – despite what TV shows might have you believe. A big (and important) part of a chef’s work is prep and organisation. For that you need space. Create a dedicated area where guests can sit down and learn the tricks of the trade by doing. After all, that’s why they are here! Set up plenty of desks and chairs for a food colouring class, a kombucha brewing session or table setting course. Or simply give them a place to pause and take it all in.

No workshop on the agenda? Time to stack those LÄKTARE chairs. Their rubber chair feet protect your floor and reduce noise too. Fold the tables and move them to the side as well. Now you’ve got space to create a makeshift office downstairs using MITTZON conference table. Gather with colleagues to discuss and plan the next series of workshops, while being inspired by your surroundings. It’s easy to forget, but those less glamorous days of brainstorming are often when the best ideas take shape.
