Son Espases receives 12 ergonomic armchairs for the Pediatric ICU strengthening the wellbeing of patients and their families The volunteer team of Acciones de Corazón from Spanish and Caribbean Islands installed 12 next-generation ergonomic armchairs at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
The unit remains open 24 hours a day and gathers families that spend full days beside their children. In this context, improving their wellbeing is part of the hospital’s commitment to a more human and integrated care, also focusing on those who accompany and take care of patients.
On the occasion of Hospitalized Children's Day, Acciones de Corazón also prepared small details addressed to hospitalizes children, contributing to creating a closer and more welcoming environment.
This initiative reflects the value of collaboration between social organizations and public health centres to keep improving the hospital experience for patients and families from the Balearic Community.
